In the Middle and Secondary School, boys build the broad, rigorous foundation on which the rest of a Cottonian education rests — before choosing a stream for the ICSE examination at the end of Std X.
The Middle years (Std VI to VIII) carry every boy through the full breadth of the curriculum — languages, mathematics, the sciences, the humanities and the arts — while the Secondary years (Std IX and X) prepare him for the ICSE examination of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. In the Secondary School a boy elects either the Science or the Commerce stream, studying a core of compulsory subjects alongside a chosen elective.
